BE SMART

Services Offered:

A free group aimed to improve the quality of life, coping skills, and support system of the family member, friend or supporter of the person with problem behaviour. It aims to teach self-empowerment and self-resilience, using tools and techniques for self-directed change.

METH HELP

Services Offered:

The service is a phone counselling service with the ability to offer some face to face appointments in Christchurch.

We are available for anyone who is experiencing a problem related to methamphetamine – those that use and those who have concerns regarding someone else’s use. Service users are assigned their own Counsellor and can be supported at any stage of their journey.

PARENT GROUP

Services Offered:

You are welcomed to meet our facilitators and other parents and caregivers who are experiencing similar concerns with teenagers that are experiencing mental distress. We will help you work through strategies, share ideas and offer our support.

Support for whānau of Odyssey clients only:

INDIVIDUAL WHĀNAU SUPPORT

Services Offered:

We are offering individual whānau support for family/whānau members or friends of Odyssey clients as we recognise it can be difficult for those loved ones. The sessions provide a supportive space to talk with a family worker to identify what supports would be helpful.

This support is independent of any work being undertaken with the client.

BUILDING AWESOME WHĀNAU

Services Offered:
 

This group is for whānau/family members or friends of Odyssey clients. Sessions last for 6 weeks and are run during term time only.

 

Building Awesome Whānau draws on the wisdom of mātauranga Māori to offer you and your family a kaupapa that is unique to Aotearoa. Designed for whānau raising children aged 2-13, this group will make you feel supported and encouraged as you awhi (nurture) and build your awesome whānau.

Services Offered:

This support group is an opportunity for whānau and family members of Odyssey clients to meet others and connect. Odyssey staff will be there to greet you and provide their support.
