Odyssey House employs the following professionals:

  • Alcohol and other Drug counselors.
  • Nurse.

We require staff 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, and include permanent, part time, full time and casual staff. If you are interested in working with our residents, please contact us with your CV and preferred working times and days plus a completed application form.

Support Worker Positions:
3.30-11.30pm Saturdays and 8.30am-4.30pm Sundays in our Youth residential program

Applicants are invited to apply for 1 or both shifts

Odyssey House provides a residential and day programme for youth experiencing alcohol, drug and other associated problems. The position are a mix of week and weekend hours during the day and evening. The role involves supervising activities of our residents.

Preferred applicants will have:

  • Experience in support work or relevant qualification or experience in alcohol & drug treatment, or studying towards a qualification
  • An understanding of the Therapeutic Community or residential setting advantageous
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with youth at risk
  • Ability to deal with situations of conflict & crisis

NIGHT SUPERVISORS SHIFTS in our ADULT AND YOUTH PROGRAMS (sole charge)

Shifts are Sunday 11pm-9am, Friday 11-9am and Saturday 11pm-9am Applicants are invited for all 3 shifts or 1-3 shifts.

We required a night shift supervisor(s) to work overnight supervising residents in an Alcohol and Drug program. The role includes night checks, waking the house in the morning and supervising them till 9am. The preferred person will have a background in night or day supervising roles and a basic certificate in community support or in the process of studying in a related field.

Induction & on the job training will be provided to the successful applicant
