Alcohol and Other Drug Clinician
Full Time Permanent Position

We are looking for a hard-working experienced clinician to join a dynamic team with a focus on working to improve access to the AOD system. The role includes telephone and face to face screening and assessments, group facilitation, comprehensive assessments, case management and 1:1 input in a community setting.

The hours of the service require flexible working between 8.30am to 8.00pm with a minimum of 1 to 2 evenings a week and regular Saturdays 10am to 2pm.

The preferred applicant will hold a Health Professional Qualification and have recent experience of AOD telephone screening and strong group work skills.

The applicant needs to be trained in MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy) to fulfil the requirements of this position.

Adult residential AOD clinician – fulltime

Looking for a rewarding role at the very heart of residential alcohol and drug treatment?

An exciting opportunity exists for a creative and energetic alcohol and drug clinician to join our adult residential service. You will be working with an energetic team dedicated to best practice outcomes for our residents. There will be ample opportunity for developing this role with your own experience, creativity, and knowledge.

Odyssey House is looking for an experienced AOD/Mental Health clinician to join our dynamic team. The service primarily works with male Justice clients in a residential program of 6 or more months. Essential qualifications for this role include formal training in both educational and process type therapeutic groups, formal qualifications in CBT, and motivational interviewing, and working with clients who have co-existing mental health and AOD issues. Experience working in an AOD residential service or having an understanding of the therapeutic community model of recovery would be an advantage. This position is for 40 hours, with some flexibility of days worked. The role offers competitive pay rates and has an immediate start date.

We invite applicants for casual positions of supervisors in our Adult Residential Service.  The successful applicants will also be able to do casual shifts across both youth and adult services. Preferred applicants will have

  • A relevant qualification or experience in alcohol & drug treatment, or studying towards a qualification
  • Experience working in residential settings or other supervising roles
  • An understanding of the Therapeutic Community advantageous
  • Good Communication And Organisational skills
  • Ability to deal with Situations of Conflict & crisis
  • Ability to work in a sole charge position with on call support
