Odyssey House Trust Christchurch provides therapeutic support and education to clients with drug and alcohol addictions. Our mission is to reduce the harm to the individual, family and community by reducing the long term effects of addictions.
Christchurch Central Service (CCS) – AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) Coordination
A coordination and resource centre for alcohol and drug issues.
A key role of this service is to facilitate access to the Canterbury AOD treatment services.
The service provides screening and assessment to help link the person win with the appropriate AOD service.
This includes access to Residential services, Day Programs, Individual Counselling and Group Work.
The service has Social Workers, AOD counsellors, Nurses, Peer Support Workers and Psychologist on the team.
CCS accepts self referrals, referrals from GP's and other community agencies via post, fax and email.
The primary initial process normally is done via phone although a face to face appointment can be arranged.

The Friday group (click here for more information) and the 24/7 support group (click here for more information). Other support groups are NA and AA.

Youth Addictions and Mental health Alliance
The Youth Addictions and Mental health Alliance (YAMHA) came together to provide clinical leadership across the CDHB- funded teams providing child and youth mental health and addictions services within the community.
Picnic Tables and Furniture
Under the supervision of our Woodwork Instructor, our residents build and sell picnic tables. When you are next having a picnic at Groynes or Spencer Park, you may be sitting at a table made by us. These tables are available for purchase. The workshop also makes other furniture items.
